Hearthstone Vacation Home Come and enjoy this beautiful rustic cedar, passive solar home (lots of windows and a skylight). Hearthstone is located up a quiet gravel road on a beautiful forested hilltop. This home was designed and hand built by a local architect and has been featured in the book “Beautiful Brown County.” When you walk into Hearthstone the first thing you will notice is the multi levels and the wall of windows looking out into the trees.

This resort home has a full size modern kitchen with all the amenities and a breakfast nook with a great view of the woods. There is a charcoal grill and hot tub on the deck right outside the kitchen. The deck actually stretches across the entire back of the house from the kitchen to the lower bedroom. The large dining room has a large table with seating for 8. The living room with a massive Brown County Stone gas log fireplace is a wonderful place to sit and relax with the floor to ceiling wall of windows. It has a TV (satellite/VCR/DVD and stereo). Looking up from the living room you can see the open loft (reading area) and the bridge leading to it and to the upper bedroom (queen bed) with a full size attached bath. This bedroom has a TV with a Play station/DVD. The mid level bedroom has a beautiful antique bedroom suite (full bed) with a full attached bath. The lower bedroom (queen bed) has a second Brown County Stone gas log fireplace and a sliding glass door. This gives the guests a wonderful view of the woods and easy access to the deck. This bedroom has a sitting area with a TV (satellite/VCR/DVD). There is a new game room for your enjoyment with a pool table, air hockey dart board, TV (satellite) and stereo. Hearthstone is located on the oldest road in Brown County and is actually on the “Tecumseh Walking Trail”. 500 Ft.up the trail/road turns into Yellowwood State Forest. Hearthstone is open year round because it is beautiful year round. Every room is decorated for each season. At Christmas there are three Christmas trees for our guest’s enjoyment. This home was built with nature in mind and for those who enjoy being a part of it. Come and enjoy a visit at Hearthstone.
